The Long John Nebel Collection 

In many of  Shep's broadcasts the name of Long John Nebel is dropped. I have only ever heard bits and pieces of Nebel's shows so with a night to spare I
went hunting the intertubes for his broadcasts. A mention here, a file there, dates and bits of dates , a list of known surviving recordings  and soon I had the files and metadata for a nice little collection.

I  cleaned up the files and posted what I had found up on Archive.org under the title The Long John Nebel Collection 

Included are a few shows that Shep sat in on in part or in whole. Eventualy those will be included in the Omnivore Shep Playlist

If you know of or have more broadcasts of Long John please let me know and I can included them in the collection.

I Libertine Turns 60

Sixty years on and the metaball lists have become click bait lists and the want to  chase the tail of the celebrity dragon rages on to new and more disturbing heights.

Shep set out to shake the American psyche to see that the game was rigged and here we are more ensnared in the machinations than ever.

So lets slip back a bit and  listen to the whys and hows of the I Libertine racket and then if you want  listen to an audio book  version of it.  Then lets move goward towards something better.

Updates and More Podcasts

A few years down the road and things are cooking along nicely. Over the years a few new shows have been added to the podcast source list and a few corrections have been made. There are nearly 800 items being pulled from to make the daily podcast. I have my eyes open for new additions but if you notice I have missed some please let me know the source urls of the mp3s and I will try to get it in the source.

Since  making the Shep-A-Day Podcast generator I have used the same basic setup to create a few more of broadcasts I like to get automagicaly in my podcast stream as well as a few for comrades in the fine art of listening.
